Why Hunger?

When I was kid, I found out that there is something called world hunger and as a kid, I wondered "WHY HUNGER?" I didn't understand why. If people are staving and everybody knows about it, why not do something to feed everyone?

Now I ask this same question today, but I ask it with less naivety. I understand exactly "why hunger?" but I still ask it out of frustration: WHY HUNGER!?! As a result, let's look at where this problem stems from and an alternative solution.

We have to realize that the reason why there is hunger has to do with an outdated social structure. Due to our collective social system, hunger is naturally a result when this system is in place. The monetary system and being forced to use money as a means of survival is the ONLY problem here. In fact, it's responsible for most all the problems we face today.

The solution is obvious, isn't it? We need an alternative to our collective social system. Which would be easy to do, all that is needed is just enough people standing together for something better. 50 million+ people already support a resource-based economy (which would solve most of our problems as a human family) instead of the monetary economy we have in place today.

The reason we as a human species don't choose this 'free system' is because not enough people know about it. If you support it, please share. Why hunger? Why hunger indeed!

T.V.P. & T.Z.M. Response to The Occupy Movement

The Venus Project realizes the significance of the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together movements and offers a positive solution for their grievances.

We at The Venus Project fear that any acquiescence to the protestor’s demands will do very little if the processes that cause the problems are left in place. In this case whatever laws or regulations are made will be eventually bypassed or overturned and conditions will revert back. This has almost always been the situation historically.

We are concerned that meeting the demands of the protestors while keeping the current economic system in place will not have the desired outcome. It will merely serve to temporarily... Continue >>>
