Uniting Humans NewsLetter

The End of the Monetary (Money) System Is Near

Have you noticed that when you watch a movie set in the future, you always see one of two scenarios?:
1. One scenario is set in a primitive society where there is extreme human suffering.
2. The other scenario is set in a technologically advanced society where machines benefit humanity.

We are standing on a ridge where one of these two reality's are to become our existence.

"You will someday be able to mark August 1st, 2011 as a major shift in the worldwide labor force where the balance between man and machine collide. One of the most prominent electronics manufacturers in China, Foxconn, has announced that they would be increasing their robotic labor force to 1 million. Foxconn is famous for manufacturing Apple’s iPhone and iPad line of products. In just three years the entire manufacturing labor force in China will be able to be replaced with the total of 1,000,000 machines doing human assembly line tasks.

Today will be the shot that every manufacturing worker heard around the world. Human manual labor tasks are now a setting sun on the horizon as the future rises with speed that was predicted to happen much later.

There won’t be health care to pay, there won’t be 401k’s to contribute to, no overtime, no workers compensation, no unemployment to pay, no vacations to deal with and no sick days. Robots will work every single hour of the day, 24 hours a day, no complaints and for years on end." (read article...)

“When the robots start arriving in massive numbers to take half the jobs in America, the effects will be profound. At this moment in history, we are standing right on the edge of the transformation to a robotic nation.” ~Marshall Brain

The problem is that these systems will also eliminate jobs in massive numbers. In fact, we are about to see a seismic shift in the workforce around the world. As a society, we have no way to understand or handle the level of unemployment that we will see in our collective economy. Technology will eventually do away with jobs that enable people to buy the goods turned out.

As unemployment rises; people will turn to their governments but there will be no answers. Unfortunately, it may take an economic breakdown and people becoming disillusioned with their leaders before they will seek an alternative social direction and solution. Our Problems are Technical NOT Political

The solution is very feasible and can happen literally overnight if enough people support it. It is set-up in every detail and ready to go, right now. All that is needed is for enough people to be aware of it and want it, hence this website.

Welcome to The Venus Project, offering a Resource-Based Economy.

This system is fully functional and feasible right now. This system has all the blueprint designs mapped out in every field of how a society in a Resourced Based Economy works, why it works, and addresses 25 years worth of questions about it.

In a Resourced Based Economy; technology will be used to serve the good of people. Machines will only be used to monitor the environment and free humans from jobs that enslave them. Automated technology proposed in the Venus Project will be connected to industry, production and agriculture; to get an overview of our capabilities. Automation would not be used to replace people that can do the job better, to control people and NOT to monitor PEOPLE; this would be considered socially offensive and non-productive in a resource based economy. Automation would only be used to monitor crude resources, cultivation of animals, plants, fungi, minerals and; other life forms for food and products used to sustain life.

For example, with the use of technology from 3,000 miles up in space with infrared cameras and thermal imaging, we can photograph the Amazon jungle. These photographs will show all the sick trees as red in definite pattern, so as the world turns under the infrared camera we can get a picture of the state of diseased plants all over the world. These infrared pictures can also show the state of the ocean and areas that are contaminated and death of the reefs all over the globe, no human can do that. Therefore, these are the areas The Venus Project desires to automate.

Another example of electrical sensors being extended into the agricultural region is as follows: computerized systems would manage and control agriculture by monitoring the water table, insects, pests, plant diseases, soil nutrients, and so forth. The information processed will enable us to arrive at more appropriate decision-making based on feedback from the environment.

The relevant technology is already here and it can only advance. We only desire to use that technology to free people from repetitive and boring jobs. Most of the jobs in existence today (around 90%) only exist because people need money to survive so they do these jobs and support companies that produce products that do not serve the environment or the people. Most jobs only exist because we live within a monetary system.

For example, looking at professions that are non contributing, such as: banking, insurance, advertising, marketing, sales, lawyers, etc... it is easy to see that these jobs only exist because of the monetary system and most other, actually necessary, jobs can be automated through the use of technology and the advancement of it. There would be no need for any high stressed jobs; there could be a large enough rotation of personnel to practically eliminate any high stress jobs until they can be phased out by innovative technology.

As computers and artificial intelligence continue to evolve through environmental feedback; computers can arrive at more appropriate decisions in the operation of our social system. Today, automated systems can launch and guide the flight path of spaceships to distant planets. In a cybernated society with sophisticated technology, we will ultimately surpass the need for human participation in government, manufacturing and distribution of goods and services. Through cybernated systems, a balanced-load economy can easily be maintained. This will free human beings from the boring and monotonous tasks of the work-day world. Most jobs will eventually be phased out.

People would be free from boring and monotonous jobs which would enable them to encourage and solve the problems of the present and near future.

Monotonous and dangerous jobs will inevitably be done away with by the advance of technology. People in a resource-based economy will be given the opportunity to engage in all manner of research and development; the creative arts and crafts; travel and exploration and participation in all of the other limitless horizons the future has to offer.

The ultimate realization of the potential of cybernated and computerized technology solely to improve people's lives could produce the most revolutionary paradigm ever to evolve. It will eventually eliminate all superficial boundaries set up by nations, as we are beginning to witness with the introduction of satellite communication and personal computers; it is almost impossible for nations today to censor ideas and information.

We think that the monetary system is like a cancer that is eating its host and it will do away with itself in time. The mere march of events of technology will eventually do away with jobs (technological unemployment) that enable people to buy the goods turned out and new social designs will have to emerge. We feel that at that time a military dictatorship will most likely occur. The end result of this will likely be a primitive society where there is extreme human suffering. We would like to introduce the concepts of a resource-based economy to the public so they will understand that there are other possible alternatives.

Only in a resourced based economy can technology be used to serve humans and the environment. Technology in a monetary system is used to bond people, take away jobs and; enslave and control people. In a resource based economy there is no reason, motivation or incentive to use technology to abuse people or the planet.

Only when science and technologies are used with human concern in a world in which all of the earth's resources are held as the common heritage of all of the earth's people can we truly say that there is intelligent life on earth. The technologies that we present can make it possible for the global population to obtain a very high standard of living one higher than ever imagined possible.

The Venus Project approach does not reduce the lives of people to a subsistence level; rather, it makes available all the amenities that modern science and technology can provide. Even the wealthiest people of today could not achieve a standard of living equal to that of a resource-based economy.

Most people fear to live under a dictatorship but fail to realize that nature is the most powerful dictatorship known to humanity. If we don't unite together and declare that all of the earth's resources are held as the common heritage of all of the earth's people, we will perish as a species! Nature has made it very clear. Every cell works together for the whole health of the body, any other arrangement; the body dies. This is the natural order for ANY system in nature and the universe, humans are no exception.

Consequentially, what is involved, how do we set up a resource based economy, and what would it look like?:

"Once we join together and proclaim all earth’s resources as the common heritage of all people (A Resource-Based Economy), we will begin to know what it means to be civilized. Until that time we will be continuously fighting for a piece of the pie." ~The Venus Project

T.V.P. & T.Z.M. Response to The Occupy Movement

The Venus Project realizes the significance of the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together movements and offers a positive solution for their grievances.

We at The Venus Project fear that any acquiescence to the protestor’s demands will do very little if the processes that cause the problems are left in place. In this case whatever laws or regulations are made will be eventually bypassed or overturned and conditions will revert back. This has almost always been the situation historically.

We are concerned that meeting the demands of the protestors while keeping the current economic system in place will not have the desired outcome. It will merely serve to temporarily... Continue >>>
