How to Bridge the Differences Between Nations (Uniting Nations)

"The methods for bridging the differences between nations that have totally different social systems, values, and religious beliefs is relativity easy. You don't start out by attacking at their religion, social customs, or beliefs. You only bridge the differences through areas you have in common (not the differences).

All the people on Earth require clean air, clean water, arable land, and the necessities of life; food, clothing, shelter (housing), medical, and good education. This is where The Venus Project comes in, this is what The Venus Project has to offer to all nations; the necessities of life. It doesn't touch religious beliefs or social customs. By getting all nations to join together in the reconstruction of the restoration of nature, the reefs, the oceans, the rivers, the water ways; cleaning them out and rebuilding the soil, rebuilding our reefs. All nations can agree to that.

However, you start talking about man having 5 wives, or this religion or that; you are not going to bridge the differences. Even if you go to war and convert them by religious force, you are not going to really change people; they will meet underground. So the bridge between different nations is what they have in common not the differences and that is food, shelter, water, clean air, the environment, etc..

If I went to, say, Saudi Arabia and I was given any kind of opprotunity there, I would lecture at their Universities and talk to their University professors, who are already halfway there. I would not talk to their political leaders. I would talk to the University professors about commonality of the earth and its resources and bridging all the differences (through commonality), so we need not require "this territory for Germany", "this territory for France", we can open up the earth so that ALL people can travel ANYWHERE without a passports sharing the earth's resources.

Sharing the earth's resources (not through the means of money), when you give a country like Africa, say, 12 miles off shore would be their territory and no other nation may fish in that area, they pay off political leaders to be able to fish in those waters. It doesn't work, money buys off the leaders and they sell out their country. It is not really their country, they are opportunists, most politicians are and I am sorry about that but the REAL way to do it is to concentrate on the areas you have in common. Children become knowledgeable, better behaved, well informed and everyone on earth grows at the same time." ~Jacque Fresco (founder and director of The Venus Project)

"Once we join together and proclaim all earth’s resources as the common heritage of all people (A Resource-Based Economy), we will begin to know what it means to be civilized. Until that time we will be continuously fighting for a piece of the pie." ~The Venus Project

"The system I advocate A Resource Based World Economy is not perfect! It’s just A LOT better than what we have, we can NEVER achieve perfection!" ~Jacque Fresco

T.V.P. & T.Z.M. Response to The Occupy Movement

The Venus Project realizes the significance of the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together movements and offers a positive solution for their grievances.

We at The Venus Project fear that any acquiescence to the protestor’s demands will do very little if the processes that cause the problems are left in place. In this case whatever laws or regulations are made will be eventually bypassed or overturned and conditions will revert back. This has almost always been the situation historically.

We are concerned that meeting the demands of the protestors while keeping the current economic system in place will not have the desired outcome. It will merely serve to temporarily... Continue >>>
